ABOUT
Currently the Director of Strategic Planning for PG Integrated (formerly Publicis Graphics), Amr began his professional advertising career in Account Management. As a custodian of brands, he immersed himself into their industries and into the minds of their consumers. Instinctively, he voluntarily involved himself in thinking like a strategist: keeping abreast of consumer & market developments, reading about international trends & innovations, getting inspired from the world around him, collaborating with the creative team, developing trend reports, identifying brand opportunities & threats, and developing suitable action plans for his clients.
In Account Planning, he balanced responsibilities of a brand planner with those of a comms planner, putting more focus on helping the agency’s clients address their real problems, and collaborating to build brands through carefully considered integrated campaigns.
As he moved into the Director role, Amr became most concerned with fostering the growth of his team, and championing a culture of creative effectiveness, making sure to be well versed in the world of marketing effectiveness research, and sharing this knowledge with the agency at large.
